Prestige & Pursuit “E” Series Information Update
Shock Sensor Selection Settings Bank 3 Feature 15
The installation guides have been updated to revision “a” to explain these settings so the installer
can best select the proper setting for their customer’s application.
When using the APS997E, APS787E, PRO9776E & AS9234E, we have found in some applications
they will false trigger upon remote start. We can attributed this to the proper shock sensor setting of
Bank 3 Feature 15.
These false triggers are remedied by properly setting the system up for the vehicle the Remote Start
is installed in. The selections are as follows:
Selection 1 “Shunt Until Clear”. The Shock Sensor will be shunted from triggering upon remote
start, as long as vibration strong enough to activate the shock, and will remain shunted until the
vibration settles below the trigger threshold + 5 seconds, whereby it is reinstated.
Selection 2 “Shunt R/S Cycle”. Means that the shock sensor is shunted while under control of the
remote start. You have no shock detection while running under control of the remote start.
Selection 3 “Shunt From Transmitter”. Allows the customer to shut off shock from the transmitter
after the vehicle is remote started. Just activate the lock button of the transmitter after activating
the remote start will allow the shock sensor to be turned off for the one remote start cycle. It will be
reinstated upon next remote start unless the lock button is pressed.
